Proto Indo European and the Pit Grave Culture VR Game
C++ Unreal project, exploring the use of computer graphics and games in linguistic cultural heritage preservation.
Key Points:
Analysed in depth an existing approach to using computer graphics techniques to aid in cultural heritage preservation.
Researched Proto-Indo European languages and their relation to excavated artefacts of the Pit Grave culture which I used as a basis for my own preservation project.
Coded a VR experience to allow the player to interact with modelled objects based on Pit-Grave artefacts, letting the player see the relation between PIE words for the objects and their etymological descendants in modern English to create a novel method for intangible cultural heritage preservation.

University 3rd year, CG for Cultural Heritage unit.
My project was to look at Proto-Indo European and one of the potential cultures that could have spoken it, the Pit Grave culture which originated near the black sea.
