GGJ26: Mage's Mask
Group entry to the Global Game Jam 2026, theme of Masks.
This project was an entry to the 2026 Global Game Jam, where the theme was 'Masks'. This was a group project with two other members, where I programmed the game, and they were responsible for all the art and assets.
Mage's Mask is a short, arcade-style shooter where you play as a mage going from room to room aboard an alien spaceship, defeating alien enemies. On various levels you obtain masks that give you special abilities, including an area-of-effect fire spell, an ice spell to slow down enemies, and a vortex spell to trap them.
This was my first project in Unity, so most of the time was spent learning the engine, and taking that into account I am happy with the result.
